Memorandum to the Board of Supervisors providing updates on Ryan White (RW) patient care transition plan to Healthy Way LA (HWLA). DPH communicated to the California Department of Public Health Office of AIDS that L.A. County will not be ready to begin the transition of patients until at least July 2012. DPH wants to ensure that the pharmacy network and provider contracts are fully implemented prior to transition. Currently, 52 of 53 HWLA CP's and 6 of 7 RW providers have signed contract amendments with DHS. Additionally, DHS has constructed revised HWLA Matched contracts to allow HIV providers to continue to access specialty care through several listed mechanisms to ensure continuity of care. The memorandum also provides updates on eligibility screening and enrollment for RW patients, mental health, RW-funded contracts, and community communications strategies.
