Memorandum from L.A. County DHS to the Board of Supervisors providing a status update on the transition to the new LAC+USC Medical Center. This report is the bi-monthly report with trends to include the month of October 2011. Average Daily Census (ADC) for October was 575 out of 676 licensed beds, with an estimated 83% utilization rate (85% occupancy). There was a demonstrated increase in Emergency Department (ED) key indicators such as a 0.5% increase in hospital admissions from September 2011 and a 1.8% increase in ED registration volume.
