Report commissioned by LA Health Action intended to be a curtain raiser on federal health reform implementation for the Los Angeles County health care safety net and to bring to light the opinions of key thought leaders on a series of critical issues: 1) The key challenges posed by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA); 2) The opportunities; and 3) The needed first steps for ACA implementation. The findings paint a picture of the work that needs to be done and of the critical role county-level leaders will play in reform.
