Post-waiver Expiration Strategy Committee

The Post-waiver Expiration Strategy Committee advocates on behalf of L.A. County safety net providers and patients to ensure they receive their fair share of desperately needed federal and state dollars. The committee convened a briefing with L.A. Chief Administrative Office leadership to learn about the intricacies of the recently approved statewide hospital financing waiver. Based on the committee’s recommendation, LA Health Action developed a policy brief that provides an overview of Los Angeles County’s current health status and how it has changed over the last 10 years, as well as offering recommendations on how best to respond to the current health care crisis.
